The response to our call for organizing 1st Slovenian CoderDojo was well beyond our expectations. Just my post received more than 500 views, while the post on web site of Slovenian public TV was probably read by thousands. It is even more important, that we got excellent response also from children, their parents, and mentors. I’m glad to announce that we have already filled all 16 available slots for students and that we have 9 experts that volunteered for mentoring them.
For children and parents: While registration for the 1st CoderDojo event is currently closed, you are welcome to add your child to the waiting list. Please apply by a comment to this post or by emailing me to dusan.omercevic@zemanta.com.
For mentors: At the moment we have sufficient number of mentors for the first event. But you’re very much welcome to drop by Zemanta‘s office (Celovška 32) on June, 2nd between 9:30 and 13:00 and experience the event yourself. We plan to start CoderDojos on more regular schedule in the fall and we’ll therefore need more volunteers. And you are more than welcome to spread the CoderDojo movement beyond Ljublajana yourself.
